James D. Rivers, Partner
Director of Operations

Education: Kutztown University, Business Management 1986

Jim Rivers joined the Mattiola Companies in 1987 as a cutting equipment salesman. By 1999, after learning all concepts of the concrete cutting industry, he joined the construction division as an Estimator and Project Manager.

Jim is now responsible for overseeing the day to day field operations and approves all cutting estimates for Mattiola Services, LLC. He is also responsible for all highway cutting and sealing contracts from Pennsylvania to Virginia. Jim has been responsible for bidding and managing some of the largest highway cutting and sealing projects performed on the east coast.


R. Steven Mattiola, Partner
Sales Manager, Service Division
 
Education: Jacksonville State University, Business Management 1985

Steve Mattiola became an integral part of the family companies after graduation from college. As Vice President and Project Manager, he supervised and participated in the cutting and resurfacing of the RT 76 Schuylkill Expressway job, from 1984 to 1986, and other major projects. Steve was responsible for the structuring of the NJ division of Mattiola Construction Corporation.

As Sales Manager of the Service Division, of Mattiola Services, LLC, his responsibility will be to establish relationships with past customers as well as new ones.  His focus will be small to mid-size service contracts and purchase orders that include wall sawing, coring drilling, and slab sawing. 


Robert Mattiola, Partner
Sales Manager, NJ Highway Division

Education: University of Delaware, Business Management 1975

Robert “Bert” Mattiola started his career as a Sales Manager for the Target Corporation in Kansas City, MS. He sold diamond cutting equipment and blades to dealers throughout the United States.

When he joined the family owned company in 1979, as Sales Manager, he managed the sales, service, and rental department for commercial and industrial accounts, here in the Delaware Valley. In 1983, he became President of the Mattiola Construction Corporation, overseeing the company until its transition to Mattiola Services, LLC in the summer of 2007. 

Robert’s main focus will be the New Jersey highway general contractors and other construction firms throughout Central and Northern New Jersey.
